« on: October 26, 2003, 01:58:51 PM »
I have a brand new 1500 single port engine and a used dual port engine.I want to use the new single port engine but my only carburator  is a 2 barrel webber which wont fit on a single port engine.can i use the stack from the dual port engine and just cut the ends off the single port engine stack and join them to the dp stack?or should i  exchange heads if they are same bore?dont like that idea though because the dp heads are 30 yrs old.

I have good single port heads, intake and 28 pict carb. The carb is virtually new, brosol,  and the heads have no obvious cracks.  Could sell them if the price is right!

Aloha,

There are Kadron single port kits out there.  I found one for my '67 1500SP from Proformance in California.  I'm sure that other people have them lying around on the dusty shelves of their garages/stockrooms somewhere.
