Man this really sucks! I will keep my eyes peeled out here in the fraser valley. This is one of my favorite vws, and I always look foreward to seeing it at the show. I'm sure it will be found soon.

I feel for you.  I had a car of mine stolen after only 2 weeks of ownership and it was never found again.

I'm sure something will pop up as this is a rare car with some very unique parts.  I'm on the road all day long so I'll keep a look out as well.

Already read about this on Dubberz this morning. I know the car, ive got my eyes open.

Its a strange car to steal because you cant do anything with it, other then take it apart.

Mirko I know we talked on the phone . Take drive to all the businesses / Gas Stations / Mc Donalds etc around your area that are open late . Talk to the staff, maybe the young kids working there spotted it driving by. Look at video that might have a street view from those places. There's never alot of vintage bugs out on the road . A car like that stand out . RAY

I cannot describe the anger I felt when I was notified by your email.

The VW community is tight knit. I hope the car will be found safely. I fear for the person that did such a crime because justice will be served and no mercy will be granted.

I sure hope they leave the car publicly exposed so it will be returned safely.

Hey Guys,

Thanks again for all the help!!

I have called the police again and asked them about the border and cars crossing, If they changed the plates and registration, the guards would have to recognize the car by what it looks like.. This is tough.. I cant even get our own local police to use pictures of the car, they only use plates and vin numbers.. :-\ So I'm not sure what else we can do

Thanks again,

Mirko

Wow.   So all one needs to do when one steals a car is to switch plates in an intelligent manner and one is safe? That's comforting.  >:( We need lojack stuff!
