that being said, tho, the guys on this forum have ALWAYS been supportive of my mechanical endeavours. they've offered plenty of great advice, helped out when i was stuck and outright gave me car parts when i was in need. they've never been patronizing to me, ever. if they were, trust me, i wouldn't post on here at all. i think in the acvw scene there's a lot of respect for women who work on their cars, and i think you'll see that over time too.
i guess i just wanted to clarify, because i didn't mean the guys are intimidating in the way of belitting towards women. that's not it at all. i meant the perpetual back and forth, with all its inside jokes and such, among the regulars can be a bit tough to crack if you're new to the site. i'm not saying their jokes are always up my alley. yeah, the penis jokes can get a little old after a while.
