Hoses worked out perfectly - I have a bunch of fittings I ended up not needing but oh-well.

Nope not an AJ system - The carb originally started on one of his systems and the breather box came from him. I pieced this together myself with help from Jim at Airspeed.

Compression is 8:1

After the weekend I will need to go back and redo a few things and fab up a proper exhaust but she is good to go!

DECKLID - WE DON\"T NEEEEED NO STINKIN' DECKLID!

No time to fab up a mount for it so going without this weekend.

Planning on below 10psi on the street.

Looks good James!!    Consider water/alky injection. www.coolingmist.com are the systems I use.

One main line in, then T it to each side of the end castings and wallah! Done deal. You can run up to 2 more psi on the street and keeps that intake charge nice and cool and that cumbustion chamber nice and clean for an effeciant burn.

What cam and heads you running??

Yup video footage was taken of the initial startup - not the shakedown lap around the block    It has a tad bit more pull than it used too!!!!!!!!!!

Matt - Heads are 044's 42x37.5 with a nice P/P job by Pat Downs. Cam is a Pauter custom grind with 1.1:1 rockers :)

I was suprised how quite it was at idle with the shorty pipe, I expected alot louder - but at around 5k HOLY SHIZNET!

James is right, I was a bit shaken when I returned from the lap, had to have a beer pronto to cool the nerves!

So if you run 10-12 pounds, and I run some  then......

Wanna Race?   Looser buys hamburger and fries from the concession at the race track for the winner.

We'll show these guys that you don't need a stroker to have fun.  And hopefully I'll prove you can get a singleport into the 12's at 100+
