was there ever any engine number that started with BS?

seems awful suspicious
i'm pretty sure i can see grind marks on the block

any other way i can tell what year my 1600DP is?

Yup, seen a couple of BS engine numbers, can't remember what in but I think around 69-70 Ghia's

I got one here thats Pos11551 the Pos looks like a restamp the rest looks original. I call it my piece of sh*t motor :lol:

it's definitely not a 5, it's an S, too curved for a 5

i'm pretty dang sure it's been messed with
o well

i was told it's a '71, i'll just go with that
