Okay.... so wednesday I take the front ball joints in to have the local VW shop press them in, quoted me $89 (1 hour) over the phone. I got them back yesterday after paying $200 (2.5 hours actual labour)
And they tore one of my lower ball joint seals ]:(  So I carry on and will call them tues.  ]:(
While putting in the upper trailing arm seals, whoops grabbed the wrong bag (lower seals cause they are bigger). Nope, grab the other bag and its marked right and has the lower seals in it. So we got the wrong seals in the bag from Airspeed(part # hand written on the bag).
Well we'll keep moving,  and figure i'll mount up the shocks  ........no can't do that because the shock mounting kit I received with my lowered KYB shocks has a different bolt pitch than the top thread of the shocks(1.25 vs 1.5)
I guess i'll go see what else I can do.

Any ideas on the shock mount kit??
The narrowed sway bar went in with minimal cursing at the tough little clamps. :D

As an update if anybody cares
I returned the parts in question along with a set of incorrect tie rods back in sept/oct.
And they never gave me a credit for the returned items. After numerous e-mails and some lip service, guess I'm out some bucks.  :(
