67 Wiring Problems
« on: February 26, 2006, 01:57:59 PM »
hey i posted before but im still having problems. my left and right signal flashers are not working. the emergency flashers, however, will work (both left and right - front and back, everything flashes). i've checked all the wiring to see if it is correct. i have replaced the flaher box. i've checked and double checked the wiring into the flasher box, but i still cannot get the signal lights to work. when i test the flasher with a grounded test light, should there be power from 49a going into the steering column all the time? everything is connected properly and the lights go off when i pull the emergency flasher switch, but my signal lights just wont work. its getting pretty frustrating, i would really appriciate help. thanks!

have you tested the switch itself?

yes, just a simple continuity test, make sure that when you switch it on that there is a circuit.

i dont think there is any power. im testing from 49a (wire that goes from flasher box into sterring column) to the black and white wire (going from the steering column into the left signals)... is this the correct test? thanks

when i put power directly from 30 (from fuse box) to 49a (goes into steering column) and then i use the turn signals, there is power. but no flashing.

49a is connected to the flasher and to the steering column.
