Yup new paint, changed up suspension for more weight transfer, going back to stock seats, 2\" narrowed beam (by me) Bumped up the CR a tad and a couple other engine mod's - and finally reduced the weight of the bug by about 60 pounds.

The winter project has been the shop. Nothing like doing shingles in -27C What a riot.  Drywall board this week then Mowser is finishing all the electrical. Hopefully open for business on Saturday. Hoo YA!

Hopefully will get a good start on the 67 camper this year......looking at making a rotiserrie for T2's. Now that would be AWESOME. Will post some pics as we go.

All I can say is very slow right now. Just bought a new toy so now the car will take longer to finish. :D

Not as fast as I hoped! Ive cut out the floorpan in the Fiat and now Im waiting for the new one to show up at my door. Im trying to make a little money to buy the short axle kit form Ron Lummus. I do plan to have the floor welded in place and the rear end shortened by the Fathers day show.

My 61 is down to a couple of last little details, i need a radio that is 6v or 12v swichable and couple oth other small things and then its ready to turnover for its maiden voyage. My 62 will be undergoing a motor upgrade of the Judson, Fram F3-P kit, Judson Magneto and a Abarth 4 tip exhaust in the next month or so. And I still have my other two cars to part out, just not enough time to do it all.

The Heb has been on hold for a few months, I just purchased some body filler and other stuff for it today. I started on the Porsche bus last week (still a ton of things to do on that as well) But work comes first so I'll do as much as I can when time allows.

The project is comming along great! Front clip is done....all other welding is done....just hammering on it to make it as straight as possible before it goes off to B-n-W in about another 2 weeks. SO, i'm hoping that the first week in March it will be sitting in epoxy with the underside inners painted.

New trans is in(assembled by Bruce). New CB front brakes (cross drilled by Bruce). Crank, rods, P&C's are all that are being reused in the new motor. New full out K-Roc heads. New smartass wheels and tires ;)  The new M&H's are being mounted tomorrow. I must be having a child..Party's over this fall.. I'll be lucky if I'm even able to wash it for the next few years

i was way to busy to work on my car during the 1st term in school, but now that i'm doing my work experience, i punch out at 530 pm and head to the garage.

i will be updating my thread in the customer projects forum soon. i've been working on fabricating the lower b pillar to rear crossmember peice for the last few days. finally got it welded in tonight and it turned out way better than i expected. next to do is the passengers side rear crossmember, passenger heater channel, passenger side front firewall and passengers side lower b pillar to rear crossmember. B)

it'll be a cut/hammer/fit/weld party at my garage for the next little while.

i'll tell you one thing tho, i got an auto darkening lense for my welding helmet and the thing works wonders. way better than the flip front/damn where'd everything go helmet. :D

keep your eyes peeled for an update on the \"project canadian bucket\" thread in the next week or so. ;)

James if you don't mind me asking wtf did you remove from your car thats metal and weighs 60lbs and didn't take a way structural integrity? Maybe you welded the doors shut and are going to enter it \"General Lee Style\" Maybe I should start calling you Luke.
Alas my winter project will extend into summer(Project bring the bert back!/Project Bert Speed). She's getting a turbo.....

If more power is better. Then too much is just enough.

Glass was a big chunk of the weight, other odds and ends like jack points under the running boards, some sound deadening material,UNDERCOAT - big amount etc etc

Fair enough. I can see the glass thing and the insulation behind the back seat could be a big factor. Prepare for a noisey ride!
