Took the Square over to Aircare and failed the Carbon Monoxide on both the driving and idle.

Driving Test
CO% 8.61 (max is 4.22)

Idle Test
CO% 7.15 (max is 5.54)

Engine is a 1914
Stock Fuel Injection Heads
Dual 40 DCNF's
50 Idles
125 Mains
Engle 100 Cam

Anyone have any advice on what to do to bring down the CO numbers?

Your idle jet is too big ----- 8.61%
and your idle mixture is set too rich ----- 7.15%

Try a 47 idle jet and re-adjust your mixture.

Hey Shane ,!!! don't buy any more jets!!  I have 50's and 47's .  I'm sure we opened yours  up to 60's.  My motor did not like to run on these but may do for the test for you.  Give me a call 5972689 (9:00ish)I'll be home morn. only

That sounds more like it.  Hard to believe a 50 idle jet could produce 8% CO.  Try the real 50s.

I only had a chance to rip around the block before my wife had to take it aircare then work.

But it did feel alot better.

Bruce, do you think my mains are okay? Or should I bump them up a bit?

If I'm not mistaken, you multiply your vent size by 4.1-4.3 or so to get a rough main jet size. example: 32x4.2=134.4 so start with 135 mains and see how she goes.

I've never seen any engine on pump gas that needed a main jet larger than 4.0x the vent.  Race gas has less density so they go over 4.0, but not street gas.

In this case I bet the 125 main will be good.  Test by installing some 120s, if the power drops off big time, the 125s are the way to go.  How is it above 3500 rpm with the 125s?
