Anyone know of a 356 roadster or speedster - prefer a Kit but will consider Original around that is for sale?

Prefer a local car.

Let me know.

Here you go and you don't have to build it.

This is from earlier this year... but never know if he's still got it.

1961 356B S90 This is a T-5 coupe. All serial numbers match. Completely dissasembled, repainted and reassembled. Re-chromed, new floor pan, new Sikens Gaurds Red paint and new interior (wheat). Motor is re-built 1750cc by Seattle's best 356 shop, less than 2k mi on motor. Car looks and runs like new. It runs on webber IDA 34's and is on 5.5" chrome wheels. Original Solex's, intake man., painted steel wheels and thru bumbper exhaust goes with. Garaged for the last 20 years I have owned it. Need $30,000 for the boat fund.

ok, how bout this?

1958 356 A Project (yes, a real 356)
Posted on: 08/10/2007 11:02 PM
Just putting a feeler out...I have a 1958 356 A project - bare metal and completely apart in my shop. I have an offer to race the Targa Newfoundland 2008 and I need to fund the trip with existing "car money." I will most likely do up a Datsun 240 rally car. I have a standing offer on the project for $15,000 from a person in the US but would rather sell it to a local.
Any interest? Call me at 604-849-2701 or email at dmgagne@shaw.ca

PS - this is the real thing, NOT a replica.

If the one  your thinking of in the body shop is in north van then i know the one you mean, and that car needs a full restoration.

That white intermecchanica built in 1991, looks to be owned by Phil from Evolved autoparts or autowrecking.

Its on broadway/kingsway in PoCo, so chances are he's flipping it and you may be able to get a good deal.

Ah shit!

I've been doing a bunch of research and I am really leaning towards a fiberglass kit version as opposed to a real one. To restore a real one properly I would be looking 50K+++...

$50k doesn't even buy you a basket case to start with.

Stick with a plastic car.

If you want a Cab, then yes it will cost you an arm and a leg unless you go plastic. And the intermecchanica cars are actually very nicely built.

though you can get a nice driver hardtop for $20ish.

I know you said a local car is preferred, but the price is right!! plus I could use a road trip to sunny California.
