ok guys, i would like to replace the beetle with another one but im not going to have a huge window of opportunity to shop, i cant take 8 months to find a new one like before.

needs to be a driver or a driver minus an engine.

buggys also included in this search, altho i obviously dont care about the year of those

i thought you would have. with the dollar being almost at par, shopping in washington is good right now.

Also look at usedvancouver.com and usedvictoria.com theres stuff on there. Search beetle and bug.

But i think your best bet it to bring a deposit to great canadian and be there early. there are always cars for sale there.

P.S. you may want to PM Stephan Schmidt, im not certain, but he was saying his brother was thinking about selling his 1963 RUST FREE ragtop for a MK1.

Ive seen the car and they did all the floors, heater channels, its rust free and looks clean, very nice interior. Im not sure if its officially forsale but he may consider.

Yes, I have a 66 in pretty nice shape, minus an engine. I want $2500 for it, or trade for an older TD Jetta in decent shape. PM me for more details if interested. Delivery possible.

I'd offer up my 63 Notch but with your track record, I'm a little weary. It's not as disposable as every beetle ya know.

Guys, cut him a bit of slack.

Some time in the future He may be in a position to do some thing about it.

As for now it is hard for him and he may make the wrong choice so, lets wait it out.
