I'm in and very much looking forward to it. I just bought some new/used video gear last weekend and would like to shoot the ride if that's ok. If not, that's cool too, just looking forward to meeting some more VW owners. I'm Scott and I'll be in Dante, 1973, orange bay window hi top.

I will shoot the whole thing. I have 1, maybe 2, friends coming along. 1 to operate the camera and the other guy is a pretty good photographer so maybe we can get a nice little momento of the ride from this. Rergardless, I'm just looking forward to the ride. I'm new to VW's but I even like driving to work each day just cause I feel like the coolest cat on the road.

I have looked at that poster on the 1st page a bunch of time and only noticed now that it say's "north vancouver". Ambleside park is in West Vancouver.... I know most of you already know where the park is anyway, but for a 1st timer trying to find the park...... you will find it in west van on 13th and argyle

Rain or shine, bring it on. I have a tarp in the bus and I can seat 4 comfortably, 5 uncomfortably. It'll all be good.

what I was trying to point out is that the poster says N. Van and you keep calling it NORTH Van, when the park is in W. Van (WEST Van)

yeah, it sort of gets lumped together. anything west of the capilano river is west van, I went to highschool in west van and if any of the soccer moms heard it called north van there would be hell to pay.

I won't let the cat out of the bag, but I'm sure you'll see pics of the accident! The weather scared off the crowds, and I was only there to offer moral support until my car's on the road! Hope the neck's feelin' OK Kirin.

It went very well, there were a few hardcore, (not made out of paper.) We have a few pictures but due to computer problems can't share them at this time. I saw Coronas some meats, hot dogs and smokies, chips and salsa as well. In addition, that funny looking cake that made its way to the table.

Boy those campers are fun.

The bad news is that due to unusual circumstances, Kirin was unable to take the lead. Hope he is feeling better and post a list of parts he may need.

Thanks to everyone who came out. It was great meeting all of you and spending a soggy Sunday afternoon together. Kirin, sorry to hear about the accident. Thanks for putting the cruise together though, I met some great people and really enjoyed seeing all of those SUV's riding at the back of the VW train. Let's do this again sometime soon.
