I have a yellow 72 Beetle. It is a bit of a beater (interior is rough) and I was using it as a work car. It is air cared and insured. Mechanically, it WAS sound. Long story short, there was a bunch of water in the motor and now it is ceased. It is not worth fixing.

The car has many new parts:
- adjustable front end
- new shocks all around
- new carbureator, plus the original one
- new distributor and coil
- new master cylinder and wheel cylinders
- the exterior body metal is in good shape (recent paint)

If you can use this car, call me at 604-338-6534. Yours to take. If I get no takers, it is off to the wreckers. I would prefer to see a Beetle owner get some use out of it!!

Wow! Big thank you for the free car bro!!! It's by far the nicest free on I've ever seen!

Side note - when picking up a car that you've never seen before, check that the rear tires are on tight.... DUH! :wacko:

NOPE!

I got about 3 blocks from picking it up and I look in my rear view mirror to see the driver's side tire about to go on a trip.

I was LUCKY another 100 feet and it was gone as there was only a few threads left on one lug left! SO I ran back up the road found two of the lugs that fell off, came back and bounced the car up and down until I was ablt to kick the tire back into place, tightened up the three lugs and down the highway I went!
