Screen On Sump Is It Needed?

Hey guys, I got a full flow oil pump and remote oil filter do I need to remove the screen filter from the bottom of the engine/ sump?

Yes, get rid of the screen. It only adds a restriction.

Leave it on.  The filter is after the pump, and if an errant nut or other broken bits gets sucked up, it will jamb the pump gears, reducing your oil pressure to zero faster than you can shut the engine off.

All cars have a screen over the pickup for this reason.  If you think it is a restriction, get a Brazilian one, the mesh is much bigger than the original one VW supplied with your car.
