Anyone know why my bus keeps cutting out, it only cuts out two or three times from starting when cold and then he is fine, had the points changed back in december and had the vw mechanic check for the same problem, was okay for a while but now same problem. Plus would like to show pics of bus on your site can you tell me how

Do you mean during warm up before you drive it?  Or stops completely while driving leaving you stranded in the middle of the street sort of thing?

Generally it is fine when starting as long as I move on straight away, but if I started him up and left him standing for a minute plus it will cut out. Starts again fine but will run rough for a few more minutes and will also cut out. If I move on straight away from starting it will cut out at the first junction say about 50 yards or so and then a couple more times after that probably about ten minutes or so after starting, and after that no problems. I hope I am making sense, thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like carb icing to me.  Stock carb ?  What years bus / motor?
Anyway, cold damp weather will actually cause ice to form inside the carburetor causing the motor to stall . Let us know what you have for carb,
motor etc.
