Ghetto Garage 64...
« on: October 27, 2007, 07:19:42 PM »
first of all.....carlos is setting up a cool new forum so click the link below, have a browse & become a member (it's in the infant stages so some changes will be made over time)...

http://theghettogarage.youneed.us/

next is pics of the ghetto garage 64 sunroof that carlos & i pulled out of a backyard in abbotsford. the car is rough (the usual vw rot...channels, pans, front end damage, dash is cut for aftermarket stereo) but we got an allright deal and cant complain. we havent decided if we'll cut it up or save it yet but here are a few pics...

  chris....buddy....you know i love you.....but IF we do part it out you know i'm keeping all the sunroof bits for my own car. ;)

a little more about the car.....

the #'s on the pan match the #'s on the body so that's cool. the car was built in december of 1963. the motor is a 1200sp that is dated october or november of '66.

thanks for the offer josh. the car actually has one, we just needed to remove it for transport because we figured the masking tape holding it to the car wouldnt hold up at highway speeds. :P

That car looks exactly like the 65 sunroof I bought off Jim Blackwood back in the day of CIP Kingsway circa 1988??? $1800  I think I paid for it.

oh yeah...you're still welcome to all the sunroof parts that you need off that car.

you just need to find out where the new owner lives. :o ;)

Just bought this car. Looks exactly as it does in the pictures, although the motor has been picked over and now needs a stand, gen, carb etc..

Why did you let it go? Any big issues not obvious at a quick look through?

Just for the record, I sold the '64 at the start of the summer. It now lives in Kamloops.
