yeah i thought the smaller one too, but when i was looking on the internet they had the bigger size from 68-72 1/2. and since mine was made in november 72 i wondered if it would classify as a \"72 1/2\" or a 73.

Hey heres my solution ,owning an older bus the emblems become more pricey .I have a white one and  a chrome one I went to the dollar store ande glued magnets on to my emblem and it lines up in holes and sticks to the front of the bus great and when parking it I just remove it  and hide in the bus . works real sweet .Make sure you use biggest possible magnets that will fit on your emblem .Hope it helps

Not yet my whole family is clued in to not leaving it on the front of the bus .But I have caught kids stealing a glance to see if it,s there . I also have been down some rough roads and not lost it either .

Outkast, you rock!!  My experience with emblems is that if you don't glue it down, it will walk away, and if you do glue it down those vermin will use a screwdriver and leave lots of pry marks/scratches and still will get it!!

Magnets--you can get earth magnets from Lee Valley tools, very small and really strong!!

I look forward to finding an original vw emblem now, thanks OUTKAST!!
(but will it add weight??? Maybe install after the 13th

if you have some old computer hard drives laying around they may contain earth magnets, one just smaller than the size of a dime can lift 25 pounds, then when connected to a metal surface, well that number just multiplies !!!!
