alright, heres the issue!  My motor just seems to fall flat on its face beyond 2500rpms!  0 Power.  It runs beyond that but it fires very odd, kinda strange pulsing.  Any ideas?  Timing apears to be on the money 10deg static advance, about 30 at 2500.

2.1L T4, 42mm intake 35 exhaust, dual weber 40IDF's with 60 idles, 170 mains and 205 air corrections, 28mm venturies. 050 Dizzy with Bosh Blue coil.

Check your distributor cap & rotor.

Cale had similar problems and discovered the resistor in the rotor had blown out due to the High voltage put out by the MSD ignition. It would only rev to about 2500-3000 and then kinda sputter.

:D Figured it out!  It seems that it was overjetted, i went to smaller jets and presto! HP and RPMs!  :rockon:

how about the venturi size versus the main jet size?. Main jets should be 4.1-4.3 times the size of the vents eg, your vents 28mm the mains should be 115-120's but of couse for larger disp. engines you can play a little more. The air correctors only kick in until after around 4000rpm, and if you've dropped the size of the mains, you may be running lean past 4000. I'd recommend 200's.
