for that size engine you'll want a 1 5/8\" or maybe even a tad larger depending on the rest of your components.

Nice mock-up   and nice car!

If you want I've got an old-school (I've never seen another one)4-1 type 3 header system that exits out the toward the passenger side with a big 2\" Magnaflow muffler on it. It looks like it would clear the apron if the PO didn't axe it. The downside is it's the small diameter tube, but my step-bro who's a kick-ass welder/fabricator says if I get him some 1-5/8 (or bigger) pipe cuts and \"donuts\" he'd use mine as a jig and weld up a new flanged system for me.
If you're at all interested you're more than welcome to have a look at what's on my car now to see if you like it and see how it fits or hits.
We're probably still a month or two away from attempting to build it but if it's anything like what I've seen him do it will be very good quality.
I'm not trying to sell you an exhaust system just giving you another option because I know how limited they are for a larger ID exhaust.

Offer's there if you want it.
Cheers!

Well, any time after say 6:30 is usually good for me.
Whereabouts are you located? I'm picking the car up at the alignment shop tomorrow in Langley (right by Samz pub) after work so I'm going to need a place to cruise to so I can check how my newly-installed IRS setup works and handles.
That works for me assuming you're in the area.
