This might be a dumb Question, but can anyone tell me if 66' front fenders will fit on a 68' Bug?

The fenders themselves will bolt on, but you will need to cut a hole in them for the bumper brackets, and install different H/L assy's

Turn signals are different as well - on the 68 up fender your signal resides ontop of the fender. 66 down fenders they are in the headlight assembly and the light ontop is a marker - so some wiring will need to be changed up.

If you plan on changing to an older hood you will need to change the front apron too.

Unless of course James did his own wiring. Then the high-beam acts as the signal, and the marker as the brake light.

Is there a specific year fender that doesn't have the holes in the top for the signals ie pre-66'

early 55 fenders don't have the turn signal on top (any semaphored car actually)
but the price would be rather steep i would think for a set.

It might be less visible if you had a set of Bullett signal fenders if you had to full them in. (55-57)
