C'mon Flossy, let me work the bugs out and put a nice tune up in it for you, take it for a test lap (vs. green with envy) and then you'll be good to go the rest of the weekend.  ;)

If I drove that car I would end up buying one... and then I would be single

We just got back from the Classic 8am this morning. I'll post a longer version later but all I can say is WOW!!!! Shane, Mike and Darren congrats on all the awards and photo shoots!

Pointblank;{Geoff chose to park it there.. Because teh freak show is at the front of the classic right beside the main booth.}

Rick Kimball asked if I could park in in the main feature section in front of the stage, when I got there Randy wanted it infront of the \"Freak Show\" tent. So thats where I parked it :D , It was a great feeling to be asked to have it in the main area, I was blown away. I was also asked if I wouldn't mind not entering it in the Hot rod class as the other cars were not as finished and it would have been a easy win. No prob, I didn't even enter the car just parked it and had fun watching the responces.

We have a amazing story of meeting some of the who's who of the car scene but I have to run for now...Maybe Bruce will have time to tell the story of my full body goose bumps.

Lot's of pic's to come :D

After a long two day trek home we finally made it with the heb intact. This classic by far was the best in my books by being the largest and having so many canuck cars and people down there this year. I think it definately has everyones minds rolling for next year!!! The weekend was a definate roller coaster with goods and bads but all around a really fun time. All i can say is thanks to my fellow pit crew for the road trip and to Geoff for having the best car at the classic that opened up many doors for us this weekend. Can you say meeting Jesse James face to face and shaking his hand and having him say this car is absolutely bitchin. As per the little blurb Geoff mentioned, we were on a personal tour of some of the biggest hot rod shops and chopper builders when we were at Scandanavian Hot Rods when Geoff is showing the car to the owner and I overhear one of his workers calling the Manager of West Coast Choppers saying that Jesse would freak over this car as he is a very large VW collector and enthusiast, long story short we were personally invited to the shop and met him and his crew. MAybe the Heb-Rod may not last in Canada that long??

Geoff, Bruce, Lanny, Shane, Gary, Darren, etc,

Sounds like it was an awesome Canadian showing. I am so looking forward to going next year. My wife says I need a responsible chaperone anybody want to volunteer ?

If the stories coming out of this thread don't get you wrenching on your VW then you better have somebody check for a pulse.

Can't wait to see all of your rides in the flesh. (Don't really need to see those pictures of Geoff's full body goose bumps tho  :o

I think you should have a fireside at Airspeed, a big show and tell !! (I'll bring a pint or 120  :D )

I totally agree with Geoff.
This weekend was great!
I enjoyed seeing all the cars Geoff's Heb and Darren's 55 3 fold!
It was wonderful meeting RK Smith from Hot VW's and all the other enthusiasts!
Kudos to you guys for all the hard work on these cars!
Special mention to Lanny for everything concerning the 55!
This man has tons of patience!!
I have lots of pics, but don't know how to post them!
Cheers!
Shawn
See you at the showdown!

now THAT's funny, those words \"camera/deny\" are going to come back and
bite you Gavin.

BTW, when you are the only one denying and all the rest are telling, who
do you think we'll believe?? B)
