New Engine Finally Arrived....
« on: March 06, 2008, 09:52:24 PM »
Went down to Ship Happens and picked up my engine a couple of weeks ago. It took 4 months from order to installation. Anibal Chico builds a mean engine. Took it for burn for the first time today, and it was awesome.

The stats

Here it is after uncrating it

Not super flashy but hauls ass!

It's been 10 years since I sold my last bug, so this is gonna be a good summer, maybe I'll be able to join in on some of the VW fun as a participant and not just a spectator this year.

Nice flat torque curve,  will be a good  driver for sure.  I like the fact that the stock fuel pump is being used.  What size valves are in the heads 40 x 35?

That picture looks like a stock engine with nice carbs. Similar to my litle engine but, with a heck of a lot of horses behind it.

Look forward to it. :D

An engine like that from Anibal would run ~$4,400 or so I think exchange... +/- a bit if any upgrades....
