Clutch Recommendations
« on: August 01, 2007, 08:53:42 AM »
I finally pulled my engine last night to find out what was causing the vibration when I pressed the clutch petal. It turns out that the clutch engaging surface has been ripped away from the disk itself. It came out in about 6 pieces.

So what do you folks recommend I run for a disk?  I'm running a 2332 with a stage 2 kennedy.  What set ups do you have success with?

I use a stage two with a daiken disc, slips just enough to be safe :) While it's out check the mating surface of the flywheel and pressure plate to make sure they are flat - i've seen many that aren't lately.

look at the pressure plate and see if theres 4 hot spots. The shoe's do tend to go \"cone\" shaped with some miles.

There are some  high horsepower vdubs with super daikens.

is that \"clutch PETAL\" similar to a dandelion petal Alan?   Maybe that's where your problem started.....
