What would be my trany requirements when I build a 2007cc?
I want the bug to be able to handle a trip to Kamloops via the Kokahala and for it to serve as a daily driven VW.

Coquihala Highway = stock gears.
What else are you going to do with the car? Burnouts? Street drags at Mission? Occasional slamming gears?
How heavy is the car? Swing axle? IRS?

I knew I had a problem with Coquihala, did not know it was spelling it. :D
Mission right now looks like a dream, I have to leave that for my idols, i.e. Hulk and the other big guys. However, occasional slammimg gears , uh maybe.
1500-1600 Lbs, Swing axle.

Slamming gears = steel 1-2 shift fork.
Burnouts = super diff.
Drag racing = 9 tooth first gear.
If you are never going down the track, you don't need aftermarket axles.
Welding the syncro hubs to the gears is pretty much standard.
