Title: Tom's 65 Rat/cal Look Beetle
Post by: KOOL-AID MAN on August 29, 2004, 09:29:25 PM
this is my under construction rat/cal look beetle, has a 1914cc motor, with dual dellortos (36) bernie bergman dominater heads, and thats all i had receipts for so the rest is a mystery. I bought the car in July and stripped it down, now im putting the pieces back together, next investment is some 145/60/r15s up front and 195s/70/r15s, in the back, next summer i plan on getting either brms or Ercos and the interior finished,  tell me what ya think, and or if you have any cool ideas?

she looks good... you and James should race those 1914's did you get your engone from Dave? if so I heard yours is faster than James, side note: where you have the hose and bolt coming out of your breather, why dont you go to Airspeed and pick up a little aircleaner filter for that, would look good and is only about $5.

 :P

thanx shane, i'll be sure to throw a filter on there, and the motor came with the car, i dunno a dave that builds engines,  the car has four lugs cause the person who had it last converted it to disc brakes and i guess he took the cheap route, next year when i buy wheels im also gonna change it over to five lug. i really dont like the four lug setup, but i do like the front discs.

hey tom, have you considered wide five front discs?

cbperformance or csp perhaps? a little more $$ but worth it imho. what kind of spindles do you have on the front now?
