Its a long story. My BMW may soon be up on the chopping block.
I'm looking at another 6 or so years of schooling and am going to need to be able to be on my own 2 feet very soon. Unfortunatly the words student, hobby, living on your own and reliable don't go together. I put a lot of miles on my cars and well something needs to happen..

Roofracks I have my thule and the wood one stays with Seabert

I know how you love Beemers but dude you sell your beetle and you WILL regret it for the rest of your life.  We've all seen it way too many times.  Look at the numbers and do what you NEED to do.  The beetle you have now is irreplaceable.  I hate saying it but if need be bring it back up off the ground a bit.  Make it so you can drive it ANYWHERE.  You need practical....... DUDE you have it.  You won't be able to get a cheaper mode of transport than a beetle.  Don't make the same mistake so many of us have...  KEEP THE BEETLE!!!

Sorry Kirin but I'm going to have to ask all ASP members not to buy your car and have them tell all their friends about a nice BMW for sale. If you sell it  you will regret it, you have a VERY nice beetle and it will be hard to find another like it. Sell the other cars and park the beetle for now.

DO NOT OFFER KIRIN ANY MONEY FOR HIS BEETLE OR PARTS!!!!  B)

2 BMW's up for sale fair price ask for Kirin.

Sell it.

Just a suggestion to put in the back of your mind, I have a very economical and reliable Acura Integra GS we could do some tradsies with. It really is a great little student car.

I don't think he's asking for opinons on 'IF' he should sell it or not.  It's in the classifieds, with a price.  He wants to sell it.

Wow lots of posts in this thread had no idea it would happen this way.
I'm currently doing some serious soul searching and financially seeing what I can do to make this all work. Should have a very clear idea by friday. Till then She's still up on the market  :(
No she didn't sell to Jakub...
Matt I'll consider the offer....

God this guts me with the idea of seeing that car leave my driveway under somebody elses hand....

you sell your beemers, drive your bug all summer up until the weather gets shitty, park it, move away from home and get your own pad, and start taking the bus.

you should probably experience the joys of having to rely on rapid transit at some point in your life. it thickens your skin, it saves you money, it's a great place to meet chicks, and it's only temporary until you get settled and a little more financially secure.

or you sell the beetle and buy something really reliable and economical that you can drive year round. like matts honda.

I'll even let you drive it on your cruise, so you won't miss out. If you delivered it to me it wouldn't technically be leaving your driveway under somebody elses hand.

As for public transit....you might as well infect yourself with whatever disease you can now and save the hassle later. That is the biggest disease cesspool I know of.

Its Vancouver... drive the bug year around... its only rain... And on the day or 2 of snow... Its a fun car to drive, look at the snow cruise that we accidently had.

Or, sell the beemer, park the bug somewhere and buy a $50 four banger that good on gas.

Shes not leaving!

I made a deal worked out some other financial stuff.
One ford ranger is soon going to be up for sale. Fecalbraun is staying in the family. She's getting some love and attention and then my dad is going to drive it as his retired cruiser. So I will see it lots. Seabert is staying! Thank god thats all that really matters and I'm searching for newish hatchbacks...
Thank you guys for all the love and support in this time. Definetly renewed my aircooled faith
