1963 Notchback with 2275cc motor.
« on: April 01, 2010, 08:47:38 AM »
Ok. Trying to buy a house so need money. Don't wanna do it but like usual..........

1963 Notchback. You all know the car. IT'S F'n solid!!!! Had it up on the hoist the other day to remove the stock motor (that's right it's gone) and the floor frame and underside is Mint! Houndstooth interior, Flat 4 steering wheel, Flat 4 wheels with custom center caps (LanD specials), Norema roof rack, Parcel tray.

I paid $8000 for it

STuff I bought since buying it

I bought new tires all around 135s front 165 rears $400
I bought re chromed bumpers still in the wrapping $1000
NOS Birch green fender beading $100
CSP Shifter $320

Engine parts for 2275

DMS 82mm chromoly Crank
Scat 12.5lb flywheel
Aluminum Case, full-flowed and clearanced
Mahle 94mm pistons - Balanced
uni-tech rods
Engle cam (can't remember which one......Gary?)
Web lifters
Scat 1.4 Rockers
CB straight cut cam gears
42 x 37.5 K-roc heads
8MM HD studs
30MM oil pump
Empi chromoly pushrods
SS pushrod tubes
Empi chromoly gland nut
3.5L sump
all cam/rod/main bearings
Metal woven  clutch disc
1700lb pressure plate
A1 ceramic coated 1 5/8" sidewinder
Pertronics ignition
all internals balanced prior to assembly (I have almost $8000 into all of this)

Powder coated tin and fans. tin is semi gloss black, fans are grey.
Still need an aluminum housing.
Long block built by GMB. I had the motor built for the long haul. Not for race but for some spirited street driving and a long haul up to the Okanagan with my golf clubs. Recomended 40 idfs for carburettor (not included). Engine is still in long block state. Needs assembly.

SO do the math and I got close to 18000 into it.

$11,000 FIRM.

Here's the tricky part for some. NO I WILL NOT SELL PARTS, SEPERATE THE MOTOR AND THE CAR, SELL YOU THE CENTER CAPS FROM THE RIMS, A RIGHT REAR ARMREST............ >:(

If my truck sells first, I am taking this car with me. Just need to get some cash quick.

You are spoiling your kids, obviously.

Get them to sleep in the notch.  That should be a treat...

I can not provide any kung fu lessons as I do not know any kung fu. I do however know how to do needle point and embroidery so I would be willing to throw in a Thursday evening lesson while we watch Gray's Anatomy. Deal?

GOOD

I have had my eye on this car for a while, not exactly the time to be spending any money but i will ask- if someone else is serious about the motor (as i am not interested in the motor) what would you sell the car for?  Do you still have the original motor and is the car #'s matching?

thanks,
Dave
