Shocks For A Type Ii?
« on: August 24, 2004, 05:38:29 PM »
Hey guys,

Looking for a shocks for my 76. Not shure what semi-performance options are for type IIs. Any general price guidelines would be good too, realized my front shock was rusted and isn't even hooked up :) Time for replacements i think :)

Can you still use a stock bus front shock after lowering ?   If so then I'd say stick with a stock replacement shock or maybe the KYB GR2 cas shock on the front .  The KYB gas a just shocks on the front tend to make even the westys ride very hard.  probably even worse after lowering .   I like them on the rear though .  Check Airspeed for prices.  ;)

Kewl thanks, yea after doing some more looking gr-2 sounds like the easiest right now. Good to know about the advantage of the gas-adjust in the rear.

Hoping to replace those and get my rims mounted within the week. Send off my glass to get tinted sometime soon also, I've just got to figure out what glass i'm gonna put where! The PO gave me 8 varying side windows and the traditional 2 jalousies... i think i'm gonna go solid for now... next summer i'll see if i want more air ;)

I am running gr-2 's all the way around, the only thing I want is a full set of big mofo sway bars. My bus rides a lot better after lower it, stiffer in the corners and all but it still leans, so look at the sway bars.

Like Hans said GR2's front and Gas a just in the rear.
Also the swaybars that 76bus mentioned are a great help in keeping the bus stable in cross winds and corners. We carry all of these parts. If you need prices just give us a call 604-881-2233
