First Day Of New Commute
« on: July 29, 2003, 09:45:05 PM »
So my first day back to work since we moved has come and gone...but not without problems. The drive in this morning was amusing with all kinds of pissed off people behind me, they dont realize 60 mph is fast for a 1500 with reduction gears. then I stopped and picked up my new carbs from airspeed(yay!!!) and on the drive home blah.....some assclown forgot to fill it up with gas! so here I am half way between 264 exit and Mt.Lehman on the shoulder with no gas   .....quite the hike for the fat kid. The worst part was I had to leave my new set of 48 idf's in the bus :( . finally get back to the bus, dump the $12 jerry can with $6 worth of fuel in and off we go :) . Take my exit, Sumas border exit and bam......bust the throttle cable  . Now what??? I jammed the church key under the throttle arm of the carb and limped it home at 15 mph   .  needless to say now I'm tired, my 1/2 hour commute turned into a 2+ hour ordeal. But at least my carbs were still in the bus when I got back!!

Sometimes I get the feeling the whole world is against me, but deep down I know that's not true. Some smaller countries are neutral.

ha! I guess I should get that one outta there huh? couple more days and the garage will be clean enough to fit another car.

Got the new throttle cable in and she drives again! lets see if it will last one more day, hopefully I'll be putting the 1776 in the bus Friday. anyone got a decent quiet pack kickin around they would like to get rid of? I dont wanna run with a stinger on the bus.

No rush from me but Cindy is starting to get antsy. She's got \"plans\" for some yard work for me during my holidays.

What tools do you need for next weekend?

So I was cleaning the garage up a little more and what do I find, a throttle cable for a bus. I kinda wish I new where that came from! I could have done that last night and not have to drive the Honda to work today....ah well.

If anybody here knows the whereabouts of the forementioned \"drawer of thongs\".....sat. night is coming and I kinda need the red ones.
