Need Help - Urgently

hi,

i bought a bug from california that was supposed to be in better shape than it is. i've noticed a lot of problems since i picked it up yesterday. i'm trying to get the seller to give me some of my money back and he's willing to return up to $500, but i'm worried it may cost more than that. but i don't know for sure. need expert eyes. if it costs more than that, i need to know before sunday when we will finalize it.

i suspect there's a problem with the front end, the brakes, the engine, the tranny and a few other things. but again, i am not sure how much work needs to be done and what the cost might be.

does anyone have time to come by and take a look sometime before sunday? i'd really appreciate the help. i can be reached at 604-218-3732 if you can make it. i'm in the vancouver area.

All in all, As Shane and I drove back thought your car is sweet. just a few minor detals and she will be good in no time.. Few bucks at Airspeed and all is good!!!

wow!! car looks great!!  I wouldn't worry too much if the mechanicals aren't 100%.  thats easily fixable.  I mean if the bodywork was questionable, that would be a bigger problem.

like hellgti said, the mechanicals you can go through easily. if it's rust free, thats 75% of the battle won allready.

Hey thanks for the support.  I contacted a guy on The Samba, Kenny from Lakewood California, he sells like 20 early v dubs a month.  I don't know where he finds them all!  He acted as a \"middleman\" on this one...

Finally have some closure to the deal and I got a grand back from the seller and the final price was six big ones.  I got the car I was looking for and I'm sure the spending spree isn't over yet :!:

what side king pin needs to be done? i need to do the pass side on mine and if his is driver mabey we could split the rebuilt spindle cost??
