those cars may be from the dreadlock'd owner of "chimera rock works", he's doing all the rock scaling here on the hwy north of summerland.

if they are his, and i know he's from the east kooteneys, he'll want a fortune for them. my 2 cents

all my hot rod buddies have been to his place.they don't even glance at bugs, but they all say not one of his cars (american ones) are restorable. all are rusted out smashed up and cut up. that, and him and his wife live in a shack and lets just say they "live close to nature". thats all i've been told, sorry i can't be more of a help :(

I was in Nelson a couple years ago and needed a clutch cable for a Fox. Ended up at the organic mechanic. He's up the Slocan valley a little bit and then off the beaten track a bit more. He had quite an array of old VW's there. Water and air cooled. If I remember he even had a couple of those rare and sought after VW Dashers.

Sir, I think that color of the block off plate is Ruby Red.

Thanks,
Shawn ;D

Can't be Ruby Red.  The car was a 59, and that year only Garnet Red was offered.
