is there a place you can get alloy rims stripped meaning dipped so there is no dirt on them any more or is it just elbow grease time

just get the wheels sandblasted, and then use an air nozzle to clean it, and then grab the wheels with a new clean rag or cloth.  just wipe them down before paint or powdercoating.

just my .02

But in regards to getting them dipped and cleaned, I don't really know of a place that does that.

You can take them to Redi-Strip, but blasting them is probably just as good.

I think that if the rims are clean (no rust, damage, don't need to be straightened) then I don't see why they couldn't be stripped.  if the alloys need a bit of work, I'd get them blasted and then repaired and polished :D

redistrip does a really good job. i had my drums cleaned up, and had their satin black anodizing/baking process done to them, and they still look new after 3 years.
i think it was 80 bucks for all 4 drums, and they resist heat and chipping really well.
