yes it will be fully restored. i have had it for 2 years, last winter it was stored in a dry warehouse in langley. this spring it came out. ive put about 2000ish miles on the car since ive owned it, now that winter is comming again the car will begin to rust from that open wound if i leave it outside.
first order of business will be to strip, label and store everything. once the body is bare i will take it to airstrip in richmond (good guys), they did a GTi for me. have it walnut blasted and back to the body shop to replace the quarter panel, then primer and seal the body.
after that ill see whats next. i really want to start with the pan and do all the suspension and brakes. but thats a long ways away.
the only options that i think the car has is the fuel guage. when i bought the car in boise it was used as a daily driver, i have tons of reciepts over the last 5-6 years for maintance, brakes,tires,tune-ups, the car is equipped with H4 headlights, the motor runs great, trans shifts smoothly, doesnt pop out of any gears. there is not a spot of cancer anywhere on the car besides surface, and in the quarter panel where we pounded it out ghetto style so the new door would function properly. i believe this is the cars first accident, from the looks of the fading paint, i dont see that any of the panels have ever been replaced before, and there are no signs of shotty bodywork.
so its a great base for a project, and to think i got it for $550usd.
