So the latest update is long overdue.
Finally put in a roll bar. This comes with a lot of thanks to a few people. First goes to Fred (Flat4) for hooking me up with the main hoop and rear bars. Well worth the drive to see Fred and Tonya! Second thanks goes to Harold and crew at California Rod & Custom in Aldergrove for helping me out with space and time and all the great skills used to put this roll bar together. Here are some pics of the roll bar
Feel much better in the car now. In fitting the roll bar I had to lower the seat down to give me clearance for my big head. Being so low in the car is an odd feeling. Heres a pic to give you an idea of the height!
So on GCVWS weekend I learned a whole lot about running nitrous.....
Like how the car doesnt go when the bottle is empty, and how it doesnt go when you bend the full throttle switch and that nitrous is fun when its all working! Tried an easy launch at the end of the night with the nitrous engaged and pulled off a 110mph pass which was one of my goals for the year.
Thanks to Alan U for the pictures, I finally clued into the fact my cars suspension was hurting me (or at least I suspect so) so today I swapped out the stock torsion bars for some 28mm bars and lowered the back end of the car a bit and I raised up the front, seeing as the tires were rubbing when I would turn off the track. The stance looks better and in my quick pass around the block it feels alright. And some pics to see the difference in stance. Not the best comparison, but should give you an idea. Also have some new shocks coming for the back to help reduce the bounce back
If all goes well at test & tune today then I will hopefully be out for the supershifters weekend coming up.
