Right now I'm a bit frustrated to be totally honest, the previous owner who I have nick named FAT ASS was a bit of a flake and forgot to do some important stuff so my bf mike and I have been cleaning up her mess. She forgot to put tranny fluid in there so we have since had to replace the transmission and when they converted it to 12 volt they did a really crappy job and forgot about the starter. As a result my fly wheel is all ground up so I had to get one of those. So we pulled my engine (the first time it had ever been pulled) and the car is sitting up on jacks until we can get everything fixed which should hopefully be soon cause I'm missing out on so many events!

] i have starter problems to...i'm still 6 volt but have 12volt trany, a bushing keeps wearing out (dead spot in ignition), had to take her off the road when i was 6 months prego as my husband thought it was just not right for the nieghbors to see a big fat girl push starting her car every morning ha ha thats men for ya!  it's surprising how much mechanical knowledge you end up learning when you have a beetle, it's always something, i guess thats what we get for loving these wonderful little cars.
