56 swing axle beetle.

what size socket fits on the big bolts that hold the trans carrier to the ends of the frame horns?

27mm or 1 1/6th will do it too I think

edit.. unless it's the later (73ish)one which is 20mm

27mm = 1 1/16th\"

and either size socket will fit the 2 large bolts that hold the transmission carrier to the ends of the frame horns.

not sure if hans missed a digit when he posted, but i was picking up what he was putting down. i just wanted to share the info with anyone that wants to know.
