What Is Your Choice For Rear Shocks
« on: August 12, 2007, 09:55:55 PM »
I need to replace my rear shocks and was curious what others were using in there swing axle cars?

My car is pretty much just used at the track so comfort is not as important as functionality.

Thanks

will depend on your torsionbar size, stock or larger.
the best is no snubbers and let the larger torsion bar take all the shock and control the compression and rebond with dual adjustable shocks.
if you are using stock torsion bars you can control squat with a softer bus snubber and trim it for squat .and use comp eng 3 way click adjust shocks.this setup works but can add shock into the trans.
or due the granny roll away off the line and add nitrous

Stock oil shocks....thats all you need. I run a soft porsche 944 25mm rear torsions, bus snubbers and oil shocks. launches smooth and soft with great weight transfer (front CE shocks)

I agree, don't use gas adjusts whatever you do, they are way to stiff.
