Spring Plates

hi guys

workin on my bug and i was wondering if the spring plate should have pressure down on the bottom of stop like when your lookin at the spring plates and the bottom edge is resting on the part where is pivots that section?? you know???

stock height (or close) the spring plate will rest on the stop when the car is in the air. There is a fair amount of down pressure on it at stock location (200-300+ pounds).

hey thanks for the info. i just stood back and kicked it and watched and hoped it wouldn't do any damage :D  but it only droped about an inch so that was good.
