Title: Tach Light On When Switch Is Not On
Post by: egspot on October 21, 2007, 05:58:35 PM

So I installed the tachometer and it is working:

Cables:
Black= Ground
Red=power 12V
Green= negative terminal on the coil
White- light for the tach. On my old 64 there was a conection with the lights power and it worked great. on the pictures below, I can't find a sourse and the left 1st and 2nd both suply continues power. Anyone wants to point me in the right direction?

find out which prong on the headlight switch is for the dash lights, and connect it there...
i looked on vintagebus.com wiring diagrams, and the prong should be labeled  58b i think (check for yourself to make sure you have the same switch...
