Help: Wanted 1972 Beetle
« on: January 19, 2005, 07:12:45 PM »
Here is what I know. It was originally sold in Duncan at Maguire Motors in 1971. It was a bright Orange 1972 beetle. Serial #1122143589 engine #ae606437 model #113141. I grew in this car so trying to find it. I was told when I did a search for it that it is in Vancouver and was painted red and wasn't insured. She said it wasn't taken off her records so she figures it wasn't written off or scrapped. She couldn't tell me who owned it of course. Please help if you know of someone with a 72 sitting in their backyard or garage. Just check the serial number to see. Condition not important just want the car. When the 23 is done I will restore it if I can find it.

You never know it could be dead. I just had some hope as the lady said it hadn't been taken off the system yet. There is a good chance I will never see it again.

Cars are never removed from the ICBC database.
My old oval window, which has lived in Japan since 85 is still on their 'puters with me being the owner.
