For Sale is my 1969 Beetle which is an original Speedway car the was bought new by my friend's Grandpa. He drove it until 1980 when he gave it to his Grandson with 69000 miles. My buddy Len built this car in the early 80's with the Cal look. He only Summer driven until 1988 when he parked it. He brought it out for a couple summers between then and last year when he called me. I bought it as a project to bring this car back into running condition without affecting the 80's look of the car. It has a 1641 built motor that runs strong. The rims are Western Turbine wheels that are rare and in great shape. I went over and replace all parts that were worn or rotten. All fluids changed and tires replaced (used front, new back). This car was garaged it's whole life and has the famous heavy Speedway undercoat still in place. This car is extremely solid car that could be left as is and enjoyed or would be a great candidate for a German build car. The car has 120,000 miles on it now and I have been driving it lots. It's a great car with some great local history that spent it's whole life on the south Island.
Here is a list of work I have done on the car:
