Hey all, im in penticton till the 10th and was woundering if there is any local vw gatherings planed while im here? Alternatively is anyone planning on going to the jacked and juiced show on skaha on the long weekend?

I'm sure some kind of meet up could be planned ( hint: al and phil, and other non-forum vw types ). at the very least you can swing by my place and hang out in the bunker/shop, or I can give you a tour of summerlands sights. this weekends a write-off for me, but next weekend holds promise. I think "boonstock" is gonna be the biggest shit show Penticton has ever seen, and really would highly recommend NOT going there, unless your goal is to get dosed with roofies and/ or stabbed.

I'm always down for an impromptu meetup. Just give me some notice so I can put my car back together! Weekends or evenings work as long as I'm not away on work.

Im at a family place on skaha lake. Have my pregnant wife and son with me so an eve might work better altho my son at two and a half is obsessed with my bug so could perhaps could get out in the day if he comes. I have no plans just on vacation so anytine is good. Lets figure something out, it woukd be great to meet you guys.

my place is kid friendly, but there is lots of cool kid friendly parks in summerland too. or we could conquer giants head mountain in air cooled vws for fun too. the view is a gooder

I can vouch for peach orchard beach or powell beach in summerland. my wife says powell has more shade and a much better beach though. both have bathrooms and a playground, and peach orchard does have a water park, but the hours are weird. Friday or Saturday works for me

You can all cruise up the hill to my place if you want, lots of room, for cars and kids, too. I'll guarantee an awesome sunset, and we can fire up the BBQ as well. I'm, busy at a wedding next weekend, but any other time works.

I'll be out of town till Thursday afternoon, my vote is for Saturday night so for those of us that are working during the week, don't have to rush. or we can dispose of democracy and someone can just dictate when and where there will be a mandatory attendance barbeque.

I can do any day EXCEPT Thursday thru Monday. But if that is the only time you can all get together, go for it. Just tell me where and when I need to be on any other day and I'll be there (I finish work at 5). I'd love to have you all come up and check out the view.
