I've got a like new "Birth of the Beetle" book by Chris Barber. Here's the Amazon description...

Here is a unique record of the Beetle's early evolution, chronicled by an English school teacher who spent 20 years digging through untapped sources, including archives he discovered at Porsche. Despite the plethora of books on the vintage VW Beetle, most of this material has never previously been published.
The book - illustrated with over 300 photographs and designs, most of them not seen since origination. Chris Barber writes for Volksworld and Volkswagen Driver magazines. A German speaker, he has been able to access original documents, understand anecdotes and study the politics of the day at Stuttgart, Berlin and Wolfsburg. He lives at Ulm, in Germany, has driven air-cooled VWs for 40 years and still owns a Beetle for everyday use.
The other is "A Week at the Volkswagen Factory: Photographs from April 1953" by Peter Keetman It's like a large coffee table book with photos of the factory, presses, stacks of fenders etc... very cool!
They both seem to be fetching stupid prices online as they're out of print. I'd like $250 for the pair... If anyone is interested let me know... as I'll put them on the samba shortly.
