SMC 2012!!!

when = friday august 24th starting at 5pm

where = Mission Raceway Park

who = all you crazy ass bastids that love tearing up the 1/4 mile in your vehicles powered by stock displacement motors

why = because it's going to be alot of FUN, plus it's a great way to spend a night at the track, with your friends and family, and with your ride!!

the SMC 2012 is sponsored by the Zündfolge Car Club and is held in conjunction with the DVKK Strip Show and the Great Canadian VW Show!!!

SMC UPDATE!!!

2 weeks to go folks!!! come on out and join the fun and support the scene. it's going to be another amazing year at the track!!!

also...the Martin clan of the Zündfolge Car Club have some pretty sweet tricks up their collective sleeves for this years killer, one-of-a-kind SMC trophies!!!

Compared to faster cars, they will be very lenient.

Long pants
driver's licence
battery clamped down tight
hubcaps removed
stock seatbelts in good shape
full set of lug nuts

They may enforce the fuel line rule (max 12" of hose for the entire car), so if you have dual carbs with 3-4 feet of hose laying all over your engine, you'll probably be kicked out.

hey thomas. it's going to be great to have you out on the track and a part of the SMC 2012...should be alot of fun!!!

bruce explained it well! follow that and just politely mention that it's your first time, the cars got a stock motor, and you're hoping to run a 20 second pass and you should be fine!

great night at the track last night with the 2012 SMC!!! big hearty thank-you's and great job to everyone that came out...you all rocked that 1/4 hard!! 2 beetles, 2 ghias, 1 notch, 1 bus and a triple cab!! super turnout and alot of FUN as always.

Thanks for putting on the SMC again this year Silas. I had a blast last night. Ended up racing Andrew in his 63 ghia three out of my four passes. He edged me out every race. I need to work on my reaction time.
