It's true! You may have heard the rumours, The Great Canadian VW Show is moving to it's new home! We now have twice the lot size and will be able to bring you much much more in the years to come!
This year we have joined forces with the Langley cultural festival, look out for Beer gardens, Live music and entertainment, Huge swap meet and yes..... BJ's Hot dog stand will be back!

presented by Regency VW

Start the weekend off right with a open House at Regency VW 2555 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam, BC. Cruise to Mission Raceway @ 4pm.

Drag Racing at Mission Raceways on Friday, August 26th! $1000 in Cash pay outs!!
Gates open at 5:00pm and racing runs until dark. Open to all VW's (Air & H2O) and any other street cars that pass tech. Stock VW motor challenge class will be back once again this year (sponsored by Zündfolge Car Club)

The Great Canadian Volkswagen Show will welcome approximately 5000 car enthusiasts and their families to Langley's Events Center 7888 - 200th Street Langley, BC
.

Air cooled and water cooled, new and old will be on display and ready for judging throughout the park. Families can enjoy taking part in a variety of activities and vendors will be showcasing what’s hot on the market. As a sponsor of the event, this is your opportunity to have face to face interaction with customers, new and old.

Western Canada's largest VW event attracts some of the finest Stock and Custom VWs from around the Pacific Northwest, including many past and present Hot VWs Magazine feature cars (18+ cars shot at past GCVW shows). Over 60 awards in 23 Classes. All types of VWs in any condition welcome. Dealer Displays, Swap Area, 50/50 Draw, Trivia Contests and more...an entire day of VW fun for the whole family! Entry to the show is free for spectators. The fee for displaying your VW is $25 CAD Save $5 on your show shirt by using the pre reg forms at www.gcvws.com (pre reg will open June 1 2011). Space cannot be reserved or guaranteed on show day. Registration takes place from 8am to 11am on show day.

Swap Meet Area spaces are available for every type of VW parts vendor. We offer small private (15' x 15') swap spaces for $40. For dealer displays and new product vendor areas, please contact the show administrator to pre-register (no day-of-show registration). Swap setup opens at 7am and closes when space is filled (on a first come, first-served basis) and is usually full by 10am.

That a great facility. Lots of room and a great location. It's only 2 minutes from my house unfortunely I'll be a couple thousand miles away watching a Nascar race in Bristol Tenn. Oh well , can't wait for 2012!

I just wanted to add that the Events Centre also has a large water park and a large fenced play area for the kids. So bring the whole family!

The show is just two months away now!

The pre reg on www.gcvws.com will be open next week and we highly recomend using the pre reg to make sure you get a spot in the event. This go's for swap vendors as well!

If you know someone with an freshly restored or custom VW that you think would look good in the pages of your favorite VW magazine send us a few pic's and info and we'll pass it along.
The Magazines will be on hand looking for feature cars but giving them a heads up may help your chances of having it featured.

If you have a Club and would like to set up a display please send me an email with how many cars (you must pre reg all vehicles for club display) you will have on hand and we will do our best to set aside space.

Not sure which class to register in. "Type 1- Custom" or "Type 1 convertible- Stock" The car is more custom than stock and more convertible than not. Help!

I'm already in Langley, but a break from my wife and kids sounds terrific!

We also have a spare room if anyone gets stuck looking for accomodations. It's crazy here though!

Sherri, was getting the Martin family organised for the up and coming weekend .she called the langley events centre to get some info and found out they are not turning the water park on this weekend , my kids were pumped for the water park
not sure who in the DVKK is in contact with the langley events centre but if you have a moment and could ring them up and see if you could get the water park online for sunday that would be huge for all overheated families
