Family VW photos

I've seen the old vw photo thread before, but thought it would be fun to have another one of us with vw's!


My earliest memories, early 60's. For us who were there, the decor alone says "SIXTIES"

I think it's dad's new 66 with me and my sister in Montreal...

By the framing, I'd say my dad was more trying to show off the new car rather than his son!

I remeber i was 7 yrs old and my parents had a Purple Squareback, me and my sister use to ride in the very back little did we know we were right
over the engine..

somehow we came to know the luggage area behind the rear seat affectionately as "the back back".
When our parents would say "who's in front, who's in back?" we'd both want the back area behind the back seat, thus "back-back"

Great pics Brian!      Our next door neighbours Dad worked at Westminster Volkswagen when I was 6.  He used to bring home Beetles of all varieties, Bay Window Buses, and the occasional Porsche!    We used to get pulled up and down our dead end street in the snow by VW's every winter in White Rock, and I'm still trying to locate those pics.  If I find them, I'll post them.

Funny. Thats what my kids say now.
