I once was a beetle who lived in a bush; all covered in moss., and rusted brown mush.
I lived their for seasons, and seasons on end; in hopes that one day I would soon meet a friend.
I spoke to the lawn mower that was close and near by, unfortunately I could only see him from the corner of my eye.
The other old cars were so far away, it was hard to see them or talk to them or play.
The summers were long and the winters were cold. There making my seats all covered in mold.
Till one rainy day a boy came along, all happy and proud and so very strong.
He wrapped up some rope all under my feet, and pulled and tugged to remove me from the peet.
He brought me to his house, and gave me a home.
Where there was lots of old beattles that were never alone. He pulled off my fenders and cleaned off the mold.
He even put an engine in me, all covered in gold.
He painted me black, and lowered me down.
He then reved me up, and took me around town.
I’ll never forget that day in the rain.
I once was old but now new again.
