Chapters has a nice stack of 'em. Great coverage of the GC.

 I could even make out Emma in the chaos ;) Chicco got a sweet little pic of the flame'd panel too!  Lots of others in there of course ;)

I got mine in Langley yesterday around 5:30 PM and there was about 20 of them, they were on the top shelf.

When I was there on the 9th.. about 5pm. there was about 12 of them.. more than half of which had edge tears.
They weren't in the normal spot. Facing the front of the store, the shelves with the car mags on them.. they were 1 shelf in from Starbucks. By trucking magazines (4x4s and stuff).  The European VWs are one more shelf away from Starbucks (3rd in).. Ususally they're all together.  I actually didn't see them the first time.. Had to ask someone.

I just bought it at Save-On in Metrotown and they have alot of copies.

I buy alot of car magazines every month from, Hot Rod, Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic cars, British Motorsport magazines, PVW, Classic MotorCycle Magazines, and tons of others depending on if they are good.

I rarely buy Aircooled VW Magazines because they suck, after VW Trends went down Hot VW's went to shit. I used to buy 2-4 Aircooled Magazines a month from 1994-2004/5ish.

Anyways, i just wanted to say that i picked up the HOT VW's, quickly flipped through it and im pretty excited to dig into it because it looks like a great issue.

Was at Walmart in Langley last night.. about 10pm.
 We hid a bunch in the top row behind some other magazines.. There was at least 7 of them.

got mine!!!! wicked issue, great coverage of the gcvws, i'm digging the cal-look club special, and the shawn geers car is insane.....and the sepia 67 aint so bad either....great job and congrats lanny. ;)

anyone in vancouver looking to pick this issue up, i got mine at \"the\" magazine store on broadway, 1/2 block west of granville on the north side of the street. they had quite a few.

have you ever given ultravw or volksworld (both uk mags) a try? they are a little more expensive, but imho they are far superior to hotvws (with ultravw being my fave, 2nd is volksworld, 3rd is hotvws).

the thing i like about the uk mags is that the coverage is truly international. feature cars from europe, the us, canada and japan.....show coverage from europe, the us, japan and i'm sure soon to be canada.....great writing.....phenominal pictures.....less adds....they even throw in the odd porsche and watercooled just to balance the equation.

if you havent tried them yet....i suggest you start!!

Yes i have been purchasing the European VW magazines for years.  And you are 100 percent correct that they are not even comparable to the American ones.

I read the feature on the Sephia Brown 67, i have the issue where the Lotus White beetle was featured about 10 years ago and its interesting to see what happened, i did not know that beetle was crashed.

Thanks for the compliments folks. G-Dog, K-Roc, Stephan Feeg, Barry Guscott, and Rob S and my family all really helped out with the build(sorry if I missed anybody). It took 21 months of very early mornings to build the car(my son was born the same week I tore it apart)  BTW, the car was completely redone, not just a respray. Now I have to decide if I want to dirty up the wheel wells and make some passes..
