when i talked with the mother of the family on the phone last night to confirm the delivery time, she was very gratefull and couldnt thank us all enough for helping her and her family out.

big thanks & hugs to everyone that donated funds or otherwise to this cause. we are all really making a big difference here.

major kudos to carlos....he got onboard right quick and i just followed his lead. he also came up with a whole load of clothing for the family so they're warm during this long, cold winter. good job man!!!

hope the delivery went well & thanks again to everyone that helped out.

Well...this was my first year doing this and I got to say ...worth every minute !!

Big thanks to James for securing the family and walking us through the process and doing the delivery with me ...

Silas in da house ...Yo bradda you is da wrap masta!!... you mastered the wrap... Biiiaaach!!!!

He wrapped over 30 presents last night   thats over two garbage bags ...full...and  he was in on every aspect of this...from collecting pledges to us nearly choking the %$#% out of each other in Superstore and Zellers...lol ...great job !!!

Also thanks to the folks that stepped up ...Shane , John , Lance , the guys in my band ...(Jean and Les), and Brian just to name a few...you all really made a difference this year !!! We had enough to take care of our family ( really well) and have cash left over to give the Vancouver food bank ...$100  ...which turns into $300 with their buying power and another (still growing) amount ( $100-$200) to the Langley food bank also !!

The delivery went as expected ( even though I didn't know what to expect ) ...right up to the part where Mom grabbed me...to say thank you ... and gave me the biggest hug in the world... then wouldn't let go... then started crying ...alot...and still wouldn't let go......I don't care who you are , if something like that doesn't affect you you're already dead. It was touch and go there for a bit but we both managed B)  ;)

So I'd like to say Thank you again to all who made that hug possible   we'll see you again next year!!!
and have a Merry Holiday and a happy New year!!!

....to us nearly choking the %$#% out of each other in Superstore and Zellers....
that would have been pretty funny to see 2 (relatively ;) ) grown men get into a fight while trying to decide on a bath bomb gift basket in the ladies department in zellers. surveilance camera footage would've been priceless. B)

just wanted to let everyone know that today i went to the vancouver food bank and made a $100 cash donation on behalf of the local acvw community. the money was a small part of what was left over from the collections and james, carlos & i thought it would be a good idea to support the vancouver food bank aswell. thanks again everyone....the donation was greatly appreciated.

also wanted to take this opportunity to thank my dad (simon) and his wife (mary-liz) for donating all the xmas wrapping paper that was used to wrap the gifts for the family (and it took alot to wrap all those gifts). B)
