hit the knight street drag strip and spun through all 5 gears 4 times to 7 bills no problem.nothing like 125 plus to blow the dust off  :D
now the fun begins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also good note :even with comp eliminator heads temp never went over 350 at all and oil temp up at 200 max .very pleased with those 2 numbers.especially with the way i was driving it.
see you on the streets

so far so good, using stock shifter with berg rubber mounts up frt.must admit there is alot of eng/trans flex with tha setup but little vibration.

want to install my berg shifter soon as i will need some faster shifting into 5th  :D

bruce the new 5th is a nice transition from the 1.31 4th

Good to hear Jim!!  Nothing better than an adrenaline rush after putting the engine together. Hows it feel compard to the cnc ovals?? that cam of yours must rock!!! The difference between the fk47 and 46 is a total night and day comparison with my setup.

I had my engine in pieces at 9am and by 11pm I started her up. Next day I idled the engine (my cam/lifter breakin with udo lifters) Played with the carbs at 1000-1200 rpms ( I like higher idle to reduce stress on cam) and first turn onto knight street I was banging 8000 grand shifts (excessive but its a test so to speak). I've been driving her to work every day now.

It'd be nice to see the gear ratios playing a part in faster ET's with your 5 speed.
